FAQ
Common Questions
How repairs, pricing, and tracking work at Vikash Engineering. If your question is not here, send us an enquiry and we will reply on your phone / WhatsApp.
How do I request a repair?+
Two ways: send a free enquiry through our Get a Quote page — no account needed — or create a free customer account and submit a repair request in the portal with photos or drawings attached. Tell us the machine, the part, and what went wrong, and we will take it from there.
Do I need an account to ask for a quote?+
No. The enquiry form on the Get a Quote page works without any account — just your name, phone number, and a description of the job. An account is needed only if you want to submit formal repair or manufacturing requests and track them in the customer portal.
How does pricing work?+
Every job is inspected first. After inspection we share an estimated price in ₹ before any work proceeds — no surprises. For manufacturing, the estimate is based on your drawing, material, and quantity.
My machine has stopped. Can you prioritise my job?+
Yes. Mark the job as urgent or machine-stopped when you submit it — through the portal, or mention it clearly in your enquiry — and we will prioritise it. Machine-stopped jobs jump the queue because we know every idle hour costs you money.
What files can I upload with a request?+
Photos of the damaged part, technical drawings, and PDF documents. Clear photos from a couple of angles, plus any drawing or measurement you have, help us inspect and quote faster.
How can I track my job?+
Customers with a portal account can see live status, our notes, and the estimated price on their dashboard. Anyone with a job reference ID can also check the current status on the Track Your Job page — no login needed.
Will I get a GST invoice?+
Yes. We bill with GST invoices for our business customers. Your company GST number is captured on your portal account so invoices carry the correct details.
How do I send you a physical part?+
Submit your enquiry or request first, then contact us and we will guide you — most customers courier the part to our workshop or drop it in person, whichever suits them. We will confirm the details with you before you send anything.
